Advanced Energy in Mexicali, Baja California, seeks a Senior Operations Manager to lead high-volume electronics manufacturing and drive operational excellence. You will oversee production, quality, safety, and cost control while implementing Lean initiatives and guiding NPI readiness.

The role requires a track record of 10+ years in electronics manufacturing and at least 5 years in senior leadership, with EMS/PCB experience and a history of leading large teams in busy facilities.

Formación

  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience in electronics.
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services), PCB Assembly, SMT, Box Build, or High-Tech Manufacturing environments.
  • Proven leadership of large teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations across multiple production lines and departments.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals and customer requirements.
  • Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate operational performance.
  • Oversee production planning and execution to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.
  • Optimize labor utilization, equipment efficiency, and manufacturing capacity.
  • Manage production readiness for new product introductions (NPI) and production transfers.
  • Identify and remove operational bottlenecks to improve throughput and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Partner with Quality teams to improve FPY, reduce defects, and minimize customer complaints.
  • Lead investigations and corrective actions for operational and quality issues.
  • Promote a culture of quality and accountability throughout the organization.
  • Manage departmental budgets and operating expenses.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through process improvements and waste elimination.
  • Monitor labor productivity, inventory management, and operational efficiency metrics.
  • Support annual planning and forecasting activities.

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all manufacturing operations within a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment. This position ensures operational excellence through effective management of production, quality, safety, cost control, workforce development, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role drives productivity, customer satisfaction, and business performance while supporting strategic growth objectives.

The Senior Operations Manager collaborates closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Maintenance, and Program Management teams to achieve operational targets and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality electronic products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily manufacturing operations across multiple production lines and departments.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals and customer requirements.
  • Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

  • Oversee production planning and execution to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through process improvements and waste elimination.
  • Monitor labor productivity, inventory management, and operational efficiency metrics.
  • Support annual planning and forecasting activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and HR teams to support business objectives.
  • Participate in customer visits, audits, and business reviews.
  • Support strategic initiatives including factory expansions, automation projects, and digital transformation efforts.
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master's Degree (MBA or related field) preferred.
Experience
  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience within the electronics industry.
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services), PCB Assembly, SMT, Box Build, or High-Tech Manufacturing environments.
  • Proven leadership of large teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
