Industrias SL, S.A. de C.V. is seeking an Industrial Engineering Lead to drive operational excellence across our high‑volume electronics manufacturing facility in Mexicali.

You will oversee labor standards, line balancing, layout, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce costs. Formación

  • 7+ years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience within Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), consumer electronics, aerospace, medical devices, or high-volume manufacturing preferred.
  • Proven experience leading productivity, cost reduction, and operational excellence initiatives.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead the Industrial Engineering team in the development and implementation of productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost performance.
  • Develop and maintain labor standards, work measurement studies, and staffing models.
  • Conduct time studies, line balancing, ergonomic assessments, and workflow analysis.
  • Lead plant layout and capacity planning projects to support business growth and operational requirements.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve throughput and cycle time.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and waste reduction projects.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to solve operational issues and improve manufacturing performance.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor improvement project results.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives through process optimization and resource utilization.

The Industrial Engineering Lead is responsible for driving operational excellence initiatives across the manufacturing facility by optimizing processes, improving productivity, reducing costs, and supporting capacity growth. This role leads industrial engineering activities, including labor standards, line balancing, plant layout, capacity planning, workflow analysis, and continuous improvement projects within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.

The Industrial Engineering Lead partners closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and Program Management teams to improve efficiency, enhance product quality, and ensure the successful execution of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Industrial Engineering & Operational Excellence
  • Lead the Industrial Engineering team in the development and implementation of productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost performance.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
Experience
  • 7+ years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience within Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), consumer electronics, aerospace, medical devices, or high-volume manufacturing preferred.
  • Proven experience leading productivity, cost reduction, and operational excellence initiatives.
