Job summary

LEGO Group in Monterrey seeks a senior engineer to lead guarantee acceptance testing for injection moulds, support technicians, and coordinate with global maintenance teams on mould design improvements. You will drive root-cause analysis, guide repairs, coach colleagues, and push continuous improvement while communicating in English.

The role is based in Monterrey with a hybrid work model and global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in injection mould maintenance.
• Proven continuous improvement and analytical problem-solving experience.
• Practical ability to assess and perform major repairs on injection moulds.
• Strong communication skills and experience guiding technical colleagues.
• Advanced English.

Job description

Core Responsibilities

What success looks like You’ll become a trusted technical partner who can assess mould damage, approve appropriate repair approaches, support production-release decisions, and lead improvements based on reliable data. Your work will help teams solve recurring problems at their root, improve mould efficiency, and share effective maintenance practices locally and globally.

Experience

• Experience in injection mould maintenance.
• Proven continuous improvement and analytical problem-solving experience.

Preferred qualifications

• Advanced experience with measurement instruments and toolroom equipment.
• Ability to interpret metric technical drawings and work with CNC machinery, milling, laser welding, manual machinery, and precision polishing.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong Lean Manufacturing knowledge or certification in continuous improvement tools.
