Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Mexicali seeks an engineering intern to develop and maintain work instructions, enabling the production team to build high-quality products efficiently.

The role requires enrollment in engineering programs, strong English, and willingness to travel to the United States if needed; you'll support tooling, routing data, and BOMs while working the second shift.

• Typically requires students currently enrolled in electronic, mechatronic, mechanical, or industrial engineering programs nearing graduation.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains work instructions to enable high-quality, efficient production.
• Provides basic technical support and resolves routine problems.
• Supports Build Operators with tooling and processes to meet schedules.
• Follows policies and analyzes data to derive answers.
• Creates and maintains master route sequences and BOM data.
• Assists with Run and Holds and reviews COs for production readiness.
• Occasional travel to the United States and visa considerations.
• Second shift schedule: 3:10 PM – 11:10 PM.

What You Will Do:

• Develops and maintains work instructions in a manner that provides production personnel with the ability to build high-quality products efficiently and effectively
• Provides basic technical support and resolves routine problems of limited scope and complexity
• Support Production Build Operators with immediate needs on Tooling and Processes to meet production schedule
• Follows established policies and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained
• Creates and maintains the master route sequences and BOM data
• Assists with and/or generates Run and Holds along with reviewing COs to ensure they are acceptable for production incorporation.
• Position may include occasional travel to the United States, as required by business needs, and might require obtaining a visa.
• Basic communication skills in English, including written, reading, and verbal, are required as part of daily activities in the role.
• This position is for the second shift, from 3:10 PM to 11:10 PM. Candidates must be available to work during this schedule.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires students currently enrolled in electronic, mechatronic, mechanical, or industrial engineering programs who are nearing graduation or in the final stages of their studies in a related field. Recent graduates and those close to graduating are also welcome to apply.
• Advanced English proficiency.
