Descripción de la vacante

Intuitive Surgical, S. de R.L de C.V. seeks a skilled manufacturing engineer to own tooling/fixtures, review mechanism designs, and drive process improvements across sites.

The role requires GMP knowledge, cross-functional communication, and experience with ECOs and DFM input, with a travel component to support U.S. operations.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electronics, mechatronic, industrial engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 2 years in manufacturing/equipment roles with GMP exposure.
  • Experience with design reviews, ECOs and DFM inputs is preferred.
  • Proficient in SAP, MS Office and basic Agile tooling for project tracking.

Responsabilidades

  • Manufacture tooling/fixtures and related production equipment.
  • Evaluate design reliability, functionality, and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate across departments and sites to improve processes.
  • Approve design releases, review docs, and provide vendor inputs.
  • Handle ECOs from manufacturing and field perspectives.
  • Update MPIs and quality system documents for accuracy.

Essential Job Duties


  • Manufacturing responsibility for tooling/fixtures, manufacturing equipment, and design improvements production.

  • Evaluate and challenge mechanism designs for reliability, functionality, and manufacturability.

  • Work in a close collaboration with multiple departments and inter sites across all the company.

  • Seeking better and more suitable technologies for improving production processes.

  • Perform IQOQPQ related to their design, redesign or integration of new equipment being installed in the facilities.

  • Evaluate and challenge mechanism designs for reliability, functionality, and manufacturability.

  • Approve design releases to manufacturing, review engineering documentation, and provide vendor and in-house DFM inputs.

  • Review/approve and determine the impact of ECOs from manufacturing and field perspectives.

  • Evaluate and help in the selection of suppliers for mechanical parts if required.

  • Help resolve supplier quality issues.

  • Update and revise Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs) to ensure accuracy & completeness.

  • Address line support issues as they arise.

  • Document and report any variances, problems, issues, or concerns on all aspects of the manufacturing process.

  • Understand, train personnel, and enforce strict adherence to the applicable Department Operating Procedures (DOPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the Quality System.

  • Maintain up-to-date and accessible training records for MPIs and Quality System documents.

  • Review and disposition of discrepant material in the manufacturing line. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrences.

  • Active participant in quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback to find the root cause and problem-solving.

  • Design and documentation responsibilities for custom and standard production tooling/fixtures.

  • Process and part design/documentation duties for cost reduction programs.


Required Skills and Experience


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing and/or equipment role.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • English 80% read, written, and spoken.

  • Manufacturing process experience includes equipment experience, support and troubleshooting.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Necessary to engage with technicians, production management, product development, planning, purchasing and different organizations across the company. Refurbishment engineering process

  • ECO change orders

  • Knowledge and execution of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, Agile programs.

  • Experience on Equipment, Fixtures and Tools specification, documentation, procurement, maintenance, qualification, and implementation.


Required Education and Training


  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, mechatronic engineering, industrial engineering or similar preferred.

  • Travel: Position may require 5% travel, primarily within the United States.
