Donaldson is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive the technical direction of liquid painting processes in Monterrey. You will industrialize, standardize, and optimize coating operations while ensuring SQDCM objectives through technology, process controls, and best practices that deliver world-class finishes.

Responsibilities include leading process industrialization, parameter control, defect investigations with 8D/DMAIC, and implementing automated painting systems with major vendors.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing, process industrialization, or continuous improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, Lean Manufacturing, and product industrialization.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and CAD tools; Power BI preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Design, industrialize, and optimize liquid painting processes, defining parameters, standards, and best practices.
  • Define and control critical application, curing, and environmental parameters.
  • Lead investigations of paint defects using 8D, DMAIC, Ishikawa, 5 Why, and DOE.
  • Implement and optimize automated painting systems, including FANUC, ABB, and Dürr robots, dosing systems, color change, vision systems, and SPC.
  • Lead new project industrialization using APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, Run at Rate, FAT, SAT, and validations.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, SMED, VSM, Poka Yoke, digitalization, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Descripción del empleo

Lead the technical direction of liquid painting processes within the organization, ensuring the industrialization, standardization, optimization, and continuous improvement of coating application processes. Ensure compliance with Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Environmental (SQDCM) objectives through the development and implementation of technologies, process controls, and best practices that deliver world-class finishes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design, industrialize, and optimize liquid painting processes, defining parameters, standards, and best practices to improve FPY, Transfer Efficiency, OEE, consumption, cycle time, scrap, and rework.
  • Define and control critical application, curing, and environmental parameters, as well as develop and optimize washing, degreasing, phosphating, zirconium treatment, and surface preparation processes.
  • Lead investigations and improvements related to paint defects using methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, Ishikawa, 5 Why, and DOE.
  • Implement and optimize automated painting systems, including FANUC, ABB, and Dürr robots, dosing systems, automatic color change, vision systems, and SPC.
  • Lead new project industrialization using APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, Run at Rate, FAT, SAT, and validations.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, SMED, VSM, Poka Yoke, digitalization, and Industry 4.0 initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar position with experience in manufacturing, process industrialization, continuous improvement, or process engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, Lean Manufacturing, product industrialization, manufacturing transfers, automation, Cost Reduction, VAVE, project management, statistical analysis, and process design and optimization.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent), 2D/3D CAD, Microsoft Project (or equivalent), Power BI, Minitab (preferred), and document management software.
