At Eaton’s AER FED Fluid Electrical Distribution division, a Senior Production Supervisor role is described with responsibilities related to manufacturing, new product introduction, and production delivery to meet customer expectations, driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the Eaton Business System (EBS) framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct performance reviews, evaluate employee potential, and recommend promotions, merit increases, or terminations.
  • Manage team performance, implement action plans, and coach frontline employees to exceed goals.
  • Identify training needs across processes, procedures, and business rules, including sales/service processes.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment, administer HR guidelines, and address policy-related issues and concerns.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback using talk paths, expectation setting, and sales techniques when applicable.
  • Establish/communicate vision, mission, performance standards, and work procedures.
  • Direct workflow, assign responsibilities, and manage demand/capacity to ensure a superior customer experience.
  • Develop strategies toward meeting unit goals, resolving customer escalations, and exceeding expectations.
  • Lead front-line employees (Allstate/vendor partners) with motivation, recognition, empowerment, and diversity, serving as a role model.
Education & Experience (in lieu)
  • 4 year Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience (preferred).
  • In lieu of above, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has supervisory duties.

Production / Manufacturing Roles
  • Directs and coordinates shop floor operators to complete production orders.
  • Plans production orders, defines sequence, and manages resources for efficiency.
  • Prepares operational schedules and coordinates activities to meet specifications; reviews reports to solve operational issues and manage costs.
  • Evaluates subordinates and recommends development plans; initiates personnel actions as needed.
  • Develops and maintains SOPs for production; selects, trains, and develops personnel; promotes interdepartmental harmony.
  • Monitors performance metrics and uses data to drive improvements and corrective actions.
Educational & Experience Requirements (Production)
  • Professional Degree (Industrial Engineering or related) desirable; Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
  • 3–5 years in a production supervisory role; healthcare industry or suppliers preferred.
  • English proficiency; advanced level; computer skills including ERP, MS Office, MS Project, VISIO.
  • Ability to work with remote teams; strong communication, planning, and project management skills; willingness to travel as needed.
Further Roles and Responsibilities

Eaton-specific responsibilities include leading multi-functional teams, achieving High-5 metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, quality), conducting Tier 1 & 2 meetings, and promoting a culture of HPWTs.
