Descripción del empleo

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the day-to-day HR point of contact on-site, managing routine matters independently and keeping the HR Manager informed on emerging issues or trends.
  • Exercise sound judgment on employee relations and policy application, escalating high-risk, precedent-setting, or complex matters to the HR Manager/Labor Relations promptly.
  • Coordinate closely with centralized HR functions (Recruiting, Total Rewards, Training, Labor Relations) to ensure consistency with campus practices and policies.
  • Manage day-to-day labor relations situations independently, including investigations, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution.
  • Counsel hourly employees and coach production supervisors on people management, performance, and policy application.
  • Act as first point of contact for employee inquiries on policies, procedures, and benefits; resolve issues professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy, Mexican labor law (LFT), and applicable local regulations, flagging emerging risks proactively.
  • Own the end-to-end onboarding experience for new hires at the building, ensuring smooth integration into the site and company culture.
  • Maintain accurate, audit‑ready employee files for hourly indirect, salaried, and trainee populations.
  • Maintain data accuracy in HRIS for the site's full population.
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics for site and campus leadership, identifying trends (turnover, absenteeism, ER cases) specific to a standalone facility.
  • Support internal audits and compliance reviews as the accountable HR owner for the building.
  • Support workforce planning and headcount needs in partnership with building leadership as the site scales.
  • Partner with campus HR leadership on cross‑site initiatives, representing the satellite building's needs and constraints.
  • Assist with other strategic projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field; Master's degree a plus.
  • 3–5 years of experience in an HR support role, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and influencing skills—able to build credibility with supervisors and operations leadership without a large on‑site HR team for support.
  • Proven experience managing labor relations matters independently, including investigations and disciplinary processes.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
  • Solid working knowledge of Mexican labor law and HR best practices.
  • Highly self‑directed, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities without close supervision.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
  • The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
  • The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
  • Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits.
  • Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
