TPE de México, S. de R.L. de C.V. is seeking a Senior Customer Quality Engineer in Mexicali to coordinate resolution of production quality problems and drive fast, data‑driven responses with customers.

You will collaborate with design, process, planning, regional teams and suppliers; perform 8D and DMAIC analyses, manage nonconformities, and lead containment actions to ensure release‑ready products.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in a Customer Quality Engineering role at an international manufacturer.
• Experience in Automotive/Medical/Electric/Electronics/Aerospace sectors preferred.
• Proficient English and strong communication with global teams.
• Strong problem-solving using 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, DMAIC.

Responsabilidades

• Supports resolution of production quality problems to meet customer requirements.

• Follows procedures for non-conforming parts control in production.
• Assists clients during audits to achieve production release.
• Drafts plans with customers to fully satisfy requirements and conducts root cause analysis.
• Performs warranty analysis and identifies trends.
• Maintains and improves quality system activities and containment actions.
• Manages quality RMA processes, reviews trends, and communicates findings.
• Supports inspectors, technicians and engineers to ensure QMS compliance.

KEY Responsibilities

• Supports the resolution of production quality problems on time to meet the customer requirements.
• Works effectively with test, design, product and planning engineers, regional quality engineers, regional planners, regional technical sales representatives and marketing representatives to solve customer challenges and provide fast response.
• May partner with line quality engineers and management teams in layered process audits and internal audits.
• Follows procedure for control of non‑conforming parts in production.
• Assists clients during audits with the aim to achieve production release.
• Works with customers to understand their specific requirements and then drafts plans to fully satisfy those requirements.
• Performs warranty analysis and identifies trends.
• Conducts root cause analysis and implements corrective action.
• Maintains and continually improves activities to enhance the quality system.
• Manages containment actions for customer concerns and quality proactive notifications (including customer sorting & quality alerts).
• Manages additional controls with engineering and operations to ensure quality products.
• Manages the quality RMA process, reviews, analyzes trends, prepares reports and communicates.
• Supports the quality inspectors, technicians and engineers to ensure products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
• Constantly communicates customer expectations to the site.
• Periodically distributes briefing notes to the group.
• Eliminates line failures, coordinates cooperation between the site and customer involved.
• Acts as the key point for the customer to ensure normal flow very quickly.
• Serves as key points for the site: characterizes the problem in the PDCA using 5W2H, conducts first‑level analysis and sends it to the concerned customer.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience within a Customer Quality Engineering role at an international manufacturing organization.
• Experience in one or more of the following industries: Automotive, Medical, Electric, Electronics, Aerospace.
• Proficient English level.
• Excellent communication skills; works with outside customers and global teams.
• Strong problem‑solving capabilities (8D, 5 why’s, Ishikawa, DMAIC).
• Use of necessary software tools for a Quality Engineering role: MS Office, Minitab 16, QMS systems, calibration and lab management software tools, customer portals.
