TE Connectivity is hiring an Automation Engineer in Tijuana to contribute to technical initiatives across projects and manage automation elements ensuring performance and schedules.

Requirements include 5–7 years in automation, a mechatronics/electronics degree, strong PLC skills (AB/Omron/Keyence/Siemens), robotics, vision systems, HMIs, and AutoCAD proficiency. English fluency is essential.

Formación

• 5–7 years of experience in automation engineering or similar roles.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Strong experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs (Allen Bradley, Omron, Keyence, Siemens).
• Hands-on experience with robots, cobots, vision systems, HMIs, and VFDs.
• Knowledge of sensors, motors, and servomotors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience managing automation projects from concept through implementation.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and implement automation projects to improve manufacturing processes and productivity.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for PLCs, HMIs, and automated production equipment.
• Perform sustaining engineering activities and resolve production equipment issues.
• Support assembly, installation, integration, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Design and develop fixtures and automation solutions for manufacturing operations.
• Manage selection and procurement of materials and equipment for automation projects.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive 5S implementation and process standardization efforts.
• Ensure technical deliverables and timelines meet performance objectives.
