Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to implement advanced manufacturing techniques, processes, and automation on the assembly line in TIJUANA, Mexico. The role focuses on maximizing throughput and sharing findings with senior engineers.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience; a Master’s degree may be preferred. Extends travel 10-25% and onsite work is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field with at least 5 years of experience.
• Master’s degree or higher may be preferred at this level.

Responsibilities

• Participate in adoption of new technologies and automation on the assembly line.
• Resolve complex design, manufacturability, and build-sequence issues; ensure production standards are met.
• Design and implement processes for equipment selection; identify optimal tools for machines.
• Establish control charting, monitor results and determine machine and process capabilities.

Job Overview

Implements manufacturing techniques, processes, tools, and machinery to maximize throughput; performs research on products and manufacturing processes and shares the same with senior engineers.

Job Requirements

• Participating in the adoption of new technologies and processes to increase efficiency; consulting on and overseeing the selection and implementation of automation and robotics on the assembly line.
• Resolving complex issues on design, manufacturability and build sequences; ensures production environment standards are met.
• Designing and implementing processes for manufacturing equipment selection; identifying optimal tools for machines.
• Establishing control charting of complex features and processes; monitoring results and determining machine capabilities, process capabilities, and performance reliability.

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional level experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level
