Sulzer is seeking a Design Engineering Specialist to design, construct, maintain, and repair plant buildings and machinery. The role ensures compliance with safety and environmental standards while supporting contin- uous improvement in plant infrastructure.

The specialist will manage projects independently and may coach lower-level staff. Key responsibilities include leading cross-functional projects, evaluating new equipment, and enforcing pollution control standards.

Formación

• University degree and 5–7 years of relevant experience are minimally required.
• Proficiency in plant design and maintenance engineering is expected.
• Strong project management and leadership skills are essential.
• Knowledge of industrial safety and environmental standards is required.

About the role

Job Summary

The Design Engineering Specialist is responsible for the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of plant buildings and machinery. This role ensures that engineering solutions meet operational, safety, and environmental standards while supporting continuous improvement in plant infrastructure and equipment. This job profile is intended for specialist professionals that apply advanced knowledge of a job area. Required to manage projects / processes independently with limited supervision. Typically coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals. This job and its associated grade are specifically aligned with roles that have the following scope of responsibility: Small, Medium, Large organization.

Key Responsibilities
