Job summary

GEP is seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager to lead complex procurement projects in the Knowledge Services team. You will translate requirements into statements of work, solicit bids, and guide auctions, while partnering with stakeholders to deliver strategic sourcing across categories.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in strategic sourcing, strong project management, and fluency in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• 10+ yrs. strategic sourcing experience with strong project management skills.
• Direct categories management (chemicals and packaging).
• Strong financial and quantitative analysis abilities.
• Business partnering and supplier engagement experience.
• Knowledge of contract drafting and negotiations.
• Managing delivery of junior team (Leads and Analysts).
• Excellent communication in Spanish and English – written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end sourcing strategy and execution on medium to high complexity projects of categories/sub-categories.

• Develop category/project strategy and approach; oversee output from the support team.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members; ensure timely deliverables.

What You Will Do

As a Sourcing Manager in the Knowledge Services team you will be responsible for executing complex and strategic sourcing projects of categories/sub-categories to include: translating business requirements into clear statements of Work, solicits bids, leads auctions.

Also, you will be responsible for:

• Provide end to end sourcing strategy and execution on medium to high complexity or strategic projectsof categories/sub-categories to include: translating business requirements into clear statements of Work, solicits bids, leads auctions.
• Partnering with difficult or high expectation stakeholders
• Category/Project Strategy and Approach
• Work and output management of the support team
• Be a senior resource for junior level guidance
• Manage and optimize functional sourcing support activities while ensuring adherence to clients corporate standards. Provide necessary information input to enablement group
• Engage with internal & external business partners to ensure that decisions are based on the broad scope of the organization and achieve optimum daily execution
• Manage project allocation, support team members during kick off meeting and share best practices
• Monitor performance satisfaction, ensuring all SLAs accountable for are met and drive continuous improvement initiatives

What You Should Bring

• 10+ yrs. relevant Strategic Sourcing experience with strong project management skills
• Management of Direct categories (chemicals and packaging)
• Strong skills in financial and quantitative analysis
• Business partnering and Supplier engagement
• Knowledge of contract drafting and negotiations
• Managing delivery of junior team (Team of Leads and Analysts)
• Excellent communication in Spanish and English – written and verbal is a must.

Other Skills:

• Execute Complex and strategic sourcing projects of categories/sub-categories to include: translating business requirements into clear statements of Work, solicits bids, leads auctions.
• Intermediate to high financial and quantitative analysis skills
• Should possess strong sourcing skills, including sourcing methodology and process, e-Sourcing technology, RFX development, facilitation and management
• Team Management
• Requires Low amount of guidance and direction
• Familiarity with various best practice sourcing approaches and techniques.
• Strong ability to handle client issues and escalations with sensitivity and diligence, eliminating a need for further escalation.
• Excellent project management skills including project planning, time management, multitasking and critical path definition.
• Strong customer service orientation including demonstrated communication during issue resolution and relationship management skills.
• Willingness to learn and master client specific processes, terminology, political environment, systems and unique requirements by various business groups.
