GEP in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, seeks a Senior Sourcing Lead (Procurement and Strategic Sourcing) to direct packaging and chemicals sourcing for our clients.

You will lead RFx processes, conduct spend analytics, collaborate with Category Managers, and manage supplier negotiations from start to finish, ensuring cost savings and compliant contracts.

What You Will Do

• Develop category specific requirements and scopes of work consistent with businessrequirements and client sourcing strategy.
• Conduct spend analytics and utilize analytical expertise to deliver a comprehensive total cost ofownership assisting the client business in delivering measurable cost savings.
• Initiate and structure efficient RFx’s, participate in supplier negotiations and support negotiationstrategies based on supplier proposals and spend analytics.
• Utilize your well-developed sourcing skills to manage supplier selection processes and providedata and recommendations to ensure informed business awardswhile developing contractualagreements in collaboration with our client’s business and legal departments.
• Collaborate with Client Category Managers and/or SMEs on project strategy; determine sourcingapproach and methodology to be applied based on the strategy.
• You will lead and execute the GEP sourcing process from start to finish, e.g., spend data collectionand analysis, supply market analysis and supplier discovery if needed.
• You will manage suppliers during the sourcing process, including conducting supplier orientationand training on the sourcing process then following up with suppliers on milestone activities.

What You Should Bring

• Experience in Directs Chemicals and Packaging
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or similar.
• Experience: 7+ years previous strategic sourcing work experience.
• Managing the procure to pay process, RFX auctions process (Must), procurement processexperience.
• Languages: required to be fluent in English

Other Skills:

• Execute Complex and strategic sourcing projects of categories/sub-categories to include:translating business requirements into clear statements of Work, solicits bids, leads auctions.
• Intermediate to high financial and quantitative analysis skills
• Should possess strong sourcing skills, including sourcing methodology and process, e-Sourcingtechnology, RFX development, facilitation and management
• Auction development including parameters
• Negotiation strategy development
• Team Management (Team of Analysts)
• Requires Low amount of guidance and direction
• Familiarity with various best practice sourcing approaches and techniques.
• Strong ability to handle client issues and escalations with sensitivity and diligence, eliminating aneed for further escalation.
• Excellent project management skills including project planning, time management, multitaskingand critical path definition.
• Strong customer service orientation including demonstrated communication during issueresolution and relationship management skills.
• Willingness to learn and master client specific processes, terminology, political environment,systems and unique requirements by various business groups.
