Park Hyatt Mexico City Polanco invites a Sommelier to lead an exceptional wine program in a luxury setting overlooking Chapultepec Park. You will provide thoughtful wine recommendations, engage guests with storytelling, and contribute to personalized guest experiences as part of a highly collaborative team.

Applicants should have 3+ years in luxury wine roles, strong knowledge of Mexican and international wines, and fluency in Spanish and English.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Sommelier or wine professional in luxury hospitality or fine dining.
• Strong knowledge of international and Mexican wines, including regions, producers, varieties, vintages, and trends.
• Wine certifications such as CMS, WSET, ASI are highly desirable.
• Luxury hotel or pre-opening experience is desirable.
• Experience with premium wines, wine service, cellar organization, and stock management.
• Strong guest engagement, storytelling, and guided-selling skills.
• Passion for sharing wine knowledge and training colleagues.
• Commercial awareness on wine cost, pricing, inventory, revenue generation and profitability.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.

As Sommelier, you will play an important role in bringing to life an exceptional wine program that reflects the hotel’s ultra‑luxury positioning, culinary vision, and commitment to personalized guest experiences. With a strong presence on the floor, you will serve as a trusted wine expert for our guests, providing thoughtful and personalized recommendations based on individual preferences, while creating memorable experiences through engaging storytelling, intuitive service, and exceptional product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Sommelier or wine professional within luxury hospitality or fine dining environments.
• Strong knowledge of international and Mexican wines, including key regions, producers, grape varieties, vintages, and contemporary wine trends.
• Recognized wine certification such as CMS, WSET, ASI, or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Luxury hotel and/or pre‑opening experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with premium wines, wine service, cellar organization, inventory control, and stock management.
• Strong guest engagement, communication, storytelling, and guided‑selling skills.
• Passion for sharing wine knowledge and developing colleagues through training and tastings.
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of wine cost, pricing, inventory, revenue generation, and profitability.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
