LexisNexis Legal & Professional is seeking a Software Engineering Lead in Mexico City to guide a team of developers, contribute to architecture, and ensure high-quality delivery. The role combines hands‑on coding with mentoring and project planning.

You will shape technical direction, collaborate across disciplines, and promote best practices in development within an Agile environment. Onsite presence is required two days a week in Mexico City.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Reside in Mexico City and onsite 2 days per week.
• Proficient in .NET/C# and Angular.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing technical resources.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the first point of contact for technical issues within your team.
• Translate product requirements into effective software designs.
• Lead code reviews and ensure high-quality delivery in Agile environments.
• Mentor and support junior engineers in their growth.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and design complex data models.

About The Role

We are looking for a Software Engineering Lead to guide a team of developers in building impactful software solutions. This role involves hands-on coding, mentoring, and contributing to project planning and execution. You’ll help shape technical direction, support team growth, and ensure high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for technical issues within your team.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to finalize requirements.
• Write and review technical specifications and code for moderately complex systems.
• Resolve advanced bugs and technical challenges.
• Translate product requirements into effective software designs.
• Promote best practices in development, including code reviews and testing.
• Work in Agile, Kanban, or other development environments.
• Mentor and support junior engineers in their growth.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends.
• Design and manage complex data models.
• Lead team operations including hiring, training, performance feedback, and fostering innovation.
• Encourage accountability, continuous learning, and inclusive collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Reside in Mexico City and available to work onsite 2 days per week.
• Proficient in .NET/C# and Angular.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Skilled in test-driven development and working with complex data models.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage technical resources.
• Strong planning, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator across diverse audiences and organizational levels.
