LexisNexis Legal & Professional in Mexico City seeks a Senior Software Engineer II to lead advanced software development, translate requirements into solutions, and contribute to strategic direction.

You will work onsite two days per week, collaborate across teams, write technical specs, and ensure quality in .NET (C#) apps within Lexis+ AI initiatives.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience designing and developing software within a product or functional area.
• Proficiency in .Net (C#) and fluent in English and Spanish.
• Strong understanding of Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively across teams and interface with stakeholders.
• Experience applying industry best practices in software development and testing.
• Ability to write and review technical documentation and specifications.
• Residency in Mexico City; onsite 2 days per week.

Responsabilidades

• Performing complex research, design, and software development tasks within a software functional area or product line.
• Writing and reviewing detailed specifications for complex system components.
• Completing complex bug fixes and resolving technical issues as necessary.
• Translating complex product requirements into software designs.
• Implementing development processes, coding best practices, and conducting code reviews.
• Designing and working with complex data models.
• Keeping abreast of new technology developments and coordinating with teammates to finalize requirements.

About The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will lead advanced software development and implementation. You'll provide direct input to project plans and schedules, translating user requests into effective solutions. Additionally, you will contribute to strategic direction and execute functional business plans. This role significantly contributes to driving the accomplishment of organizational objectives through complex research, design, and software development tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performing complex research, design, and software development tasks within a software functional area or product line such as Lexis+ AI.
• Writing and reviewing detailed specifications for complex system components.
• Completing complex bug fixes and resolving technical issues as necessary.
• Understanding and translating complex product requirements into software designs.
• Implementing development processes, coding best practices, and conducting code reviews.
• Designing and working with complex data models.
• Keeping abreast of new technology developments and interfacing with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience designing and developing software within a product or functional area
• Exhibit expertise in .Net (C#)
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall
• Proficiency in working with data models, data storage subsystems, and data manipulation techniques
• Ability to work effectively across teams and interface with technical stakeholders
• Experience applying industry best practices in software development and testing
• Ability to write and review technical documentation and specifications
• Reside in Mexico City and available to work onsite 2 days per week.
