Fitch Ratings is seeking a Software Engineer to work from Monterrey, with the option to join Chicago, New York or Toronto offices. This role focuses on building enterprise scale, full‑stack applications, emphasizing secure, modern web and data‑driven services.

You’ll collaborate with product owners, design and deploy in a DevSecOps environment, and contribute to evolving engineering practices. You will develop backend services with Java/Spring Boot, implement secure authentication

Formación

• 1–3 years of experience building distributed applications with moderate to high complexity.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend development.
• Strong experience with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect implementations.
• Experience with SAML/SSO and RBAC in enterprise systems.
• Advanced API design and security testing, including OAuth flows.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React for frontend.
• Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and AI-assisted tooling is a plus.
• Experience with relational (Oracle/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/DynamoDB) databases.
• RESTful API development and testing with Postman.
• Version control with Git/GitHub and basic CI/CD concepts.
• Ability to work in Agile/DevSecOps with focus on security and automation.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate proficiency in full‑stack technologies for enterprise‑scale applications.
• Work in an agile team on design, development, debugging and deployment.
• Ensure security, cross‑browser and cross‑platform compatibility.
• Translate design into code artefacts and integrate API/data layers.
• Partner with Product Owners to understand business needs and develop architecture.
• Own data quality and build data expertise across areas of ownership.
• Maintain and enhance microservices‑based components of the application suite.
• Promote and document development best practices and guidelines.
• Write automated unit, integration, and performance tests and integrate with CI/CD.
