Mastercard seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen production readiness, automate CI/CD pipelines, and lead DevOps practices across platforms. You will collaborate with developers to design, implement, and support scalable services focusing on availability, performance, and deployment automation.

The role emphasizes triage and root-cause analysis to reduce incidents, with a global team across geographies and the need to mentor junior colleagues. On-call duties may be required.

Formación

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with industry standard CI/CD tools like Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, Groovy and Chef.
• Sound knowledge of cloud based architecture (Azure/PCF).
• Experience with Java, J2EE, WebServices (SOAP/REST), Spring/Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Experience with algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design.
• Strong problem solving, communication, ownership and drive.
• Ability to drive adoption of development services across delivery teams.
• Experience with debugging, optimizing code and automating tasks.
• Experience in dealing with stakeholders and delivering under pressure.
• Interest in large-scale distributed systems and automation.

Responsabilidades

• Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement.
• Design, implement, and enhance deployment automation based on Chef with an end-to-end release process.
• Use Jenkins to orchestrate release and integrate with Sonar, Chef, Maven, Artifactory, etc.
• Support deployments to multiple environments with emphasis on automation.
• Design and implement a Git-based code management strategy for parallel deployments.
• Analyze ITSM activities and provide feedback on operational gaps or resiliency concerns.
• Support services before go-live with design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
• Maintain services post-launch by monitoring availability, latency, and health.
• Scale systems through automation and push for reliability and velocity improvements.
• Lead DevOps automation and best practices across Mastercard platforms.
