OP in Mexico is seeking a seasoned Mainframe z/OS Systems Programmer to lead architecting, installing and maintaining complex z/OS environments. You will drive upgrades, optimize performance, and work with SMP/E, z/OSMF, and IBM Utilities to deliver reliable, enterprise-scale systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement system and process improvements, and guide junior staff through upgrades and decom tasks.

Formación

12+ years of professional experience as a Mainframe System Programmer in z/OS and ISVs.
Experience with SMP/E and installation of ISV products.
Expertise in IBM Utilities, JCL, and z/OS system automation.
Knowledge of z/OS V2.5 upgrades or later with z/OSMF workflow.
Familiarity with IODF, HCD, and capacity planning.

Responsabilidades

Perform system programming activities including configuration, installation and maintenance using SMP/E and vendor software.
Perform OS upgrades and RSU maintenance via z/OSMF workflow.
Architect, install, and configure complex z/OS environments and third‑party software.
Support standardization and feature implementations across teams.
Collaborate with storage, performance tuning, capacity planning, security, and networking teams from a z/OS perspective.
Assist teammates in solving problems and driving improvements.
Identify and implement system/process improvements and communicate timelines to stakeholders.
