Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Senior UI Artist to own the UI visual identity and implementation across platforms using Unreal Engine 5. You will collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop scalable UI systems, materials, and animations, ensuring accessibility and localization readiness.

The role requires shipping UI across PC, console and mobile with a strong emphasis on visual hierarchy, typography, and motion. Join our global teams delivering top-tier projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience as a UI Artist or in a related art field, preferably within games.
• Strong leadership to drive a UI theme from concept to delivery.
• Shipped UI projects across PC, console and mobile.
• Advanced proficiency in Unreal Engine 5 with UMG, Slate and Material Editor.
• Strong visual design skills in UI/UX, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Proficiency with industry tools including Figma.
• Understanding real-time UI optimization, textures and atlasing.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration with design and engineering.
• High ownership and attention to detail with comfort with ambiguity.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2).

Responsibilities

• Drive the visual direction of the UI aesthetic from initial concept through final ship quality.
• Convert UX wireframes into polished mockups, prototypes, design systems, and style guides.
• Build final UI art directly within Unreal Engine using UMG, Slate, and widget animations.
• Develop UI materials and shaders through Unreal Material Editor to maintain a cohesive theme.
• Craft game menus, HUD elements, iconography, and UI motion tailored to gameplay requirements.
• Produce material-driven effects, 2D or animated effects, and simple Blueprint logic for UI.
• Refine UI assets for performance and clarity across PC, console, and mobile platforms.
• Guarantee UI supports accessibility and localization readiness without compromising quality.
• Manage UI asset libraries, style guides, and reusable components.
• Partner with designers and engineers to iterate rapidly and resolve integration challenges.
