Job summary

Redwood Logistics is hiring a Senior Staff Accountant for a full-time remote role based in Monterrey or Queretaro, Mexico. You will handle core accounting tasks and support tax compliance while maintaining GAAP standards.

The position requires a Finance/Accounting degree, CPA preferred, 4–5 years of experience, and bilingual English/Spanish communication. Proficiency with ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, and MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting
• CPA preferred
• 4–5 years of experience as a Staff Accountant and/or Auditor
• Knowledge of financial reporting standards, financial reporting controls and process improvement
• Experience using Great Plains Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, MS Excel & MS Access
• Bi-lingual in English/Spanish; proficient level for verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Monthly close: revenue and expense accruals, vendor accruals, depreciation and amortization, rebates, cash reconciliations, intercompany and debt-related entries.
• Maintain general accounts and substantiation of vendor/business records.
• Support FP&A in capturing activity for budgeting/forecasting and performance analyses.
• Assist FP&A with budgets and forecasts.
• Participate in annual audits and tax preparation with substantiation documentation.
• Track state and city tax filings and compliance with tax authorities.
• Address internal/external inquiries regarding monthly performance.
• Other duties as needed to meet business needs.
