Job summary

Charger Logistics Inc. in Querétaro, Mexico, is seeking a seasoned Accountant to join our finance team and help manage general accounting processes for our Mexican operations.

The role focuses on fixed assets accounting, bank reconciliations, month-end closes, GST/VAT compliance, and accurate financial reporting, requiring strong Excel skills and English communication. A Bachelor's in Accounting with 4+ years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience in general accounting.
• Experience with Mexican fixed assets accounting and regulations.
• Strong data analysis and Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements by gathering, verifying, and analyzing data from the general ledger and departments.
• Manage day-to-day accounting processes including invoice entry, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing.
• Record and update fixed asset transactions, ensuring proper depreciation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations regarding depreciation and asset write-offs for Mexican Fixed Assets.
• Perform bookkeeping tasks such as GST/VAT reporting, payroll processing, and related reconciliations.
• Develop and analyze financial reports using advanced spreadsheet functions.
• Maintain general ledger entries and perform reconciliations.
• Assist with financial statements and tax returns for compilation engagements in compliance with tax laws.
• Evaluate internal processes and recommend improvements.
• Support monthly or quarterly close processes and maintain confidentiality.
