Sovos is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to manage and scale the database infrastructure powering tax compliance for a global SaaS platform. You will ensure performance, security, and availability of enterprise databases across SQL Server environments, guiding teams and driving best practices.
The role involves leading patches and migrations, maintaining high-availability, and working with AI-assisted tools to optimize operations.
Formación
- Hands-on experience managing production database environments.
- Deep expertise in SQL Server performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of database internals.
Responsabilidades
- Serve as SME for critical database technologies and resolve complex incidents.
- Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and tune queries for throughput.
- Review query designs and schema changes for efficiency before deployment.
- Lead patches, upgrades, migrations with minimal downtime, and DR testing.
- Mentor junior DBAs and application teams on database best practices.
- Leverage AI-assisted tooling to streamline monitoring and RCA tasks.
- Communicate health, maintenance status, and risks to stakeholders.
