Sovos is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to lead production SQL Server environments, ensuring performance, security, and availability for our global SaaS platform. You will work with engineers and tech leads on schema changes, upgrades, and DR testing, while mentoring junior staff and leveraging AI-assisted tooling.

This role requires weekly office presence in Condesa, CDMX. We value collaboration and a drive to optimize systems in a fast-paced, regulated industry.

Formación

• Hands-on experience managing production database environments.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server internals and performance tuning.
• Fluent English, written and verbal.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as SME for critical database technologies, leading resolution of complex incidents and performance issues.
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning solutions to optimize queries.
• Review query designs and schema changes, ensuring efficiency and scalability prior to deployment.
• Lead patches, upgrades, migrations with minimal downtime, including backup/recovery, HA setups, and DR testing.
• Mentor and support junior DBAs and application teams, driving best practices across the organization.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling and automation to streamline monitoring and root-cause analysis.
• Communicate database health, maintenance status, and potential risks to stakeholders.
