Sovos is transforming tax compliance with AI-powered technology and a global platform. As a Senior Database Administrator, you will own the performance, security, and availability of enterprise SQL Server environments powering our SaaS applications for 100,000+ customers.

You will lead patches, backups, DR testing, and collaborate with engineers to ensure scalability. You’ll mentor junior DBAs and leverage AI tools to streamline operations, with weekly office attendance in Condesa, CDMX.

Formación

• Strong foundational knowledge of database systems.
• Hands-on experience managing production database environments and resolving performance issues.
• Proficiency with SQL Server and deep understanding of database internals.
• Fluent English, written and verbal.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Product and Tech teams.
• Comfort using AI tools to improve productivity and operations.
• Willingness to attend the office once a week (Condesa, CDMX).
• Background check may be required prior to hire.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a subject matter expert for SQL Server technologies and incident resolution.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and tune queries and schemas.
• Review query designs and schema changes with engineers for efficiency and scalability.
• Lead patches, upgrades, migrations, backups, high-availability, and DR testing.
• Mentor junior DBAs and promote database best practices.
