LexisNexis is seeking a Software Engineering Lead to guide a team of developers in building impactful software solutions. This hands-on role involves mentoring, coding, and shaping technical direction while contributing to planning and execution.

You’ll help grow the team, ensure high-quality delivery, and promote best practices in development within a bilingual, multicultural environment. The position is based in Mexico City with onsite presence two days per week.

Formación

• Proven leadership of software teams.
• Experience delivering multilingual/bilingual software.
• Strong knowledge of frontend frameworks such as Angular/React.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Ability to mentor engineers and promote best practices.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the first point of contact for technical issues within your team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to finalize requirements.
• Write and review specs and code for moderately complex systems.
• Resolve advanced bugs and technical challenges.
• Promote code reviews, testing, and best practices.
• Work in Agile, Kanban, or other development environments.
• Mentor and support junior engineers in their growth.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends.
• Design and manage complex data models.
• Lead team operations including hiring, training, and performance feedback.
• Encourage accountability, continuous learning, and inclusive collaboration.

Requirements

• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Reside in Mexico City and available to work onsite 2 days per week.
• Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Skilled in test-driven development and working with complex data models.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage technical resources.
• Strong planning, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator across diverse audiences and organizational levels.
