Job summary

Oliver Wyman is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Mexico City on a hybrid basis requiring at least three days in the office. You will lead design, development, and delivery of scalable architectures across multiple initiatives, guiding teams and ensuring secure, reliable systems.

The role emphasizes cloud and multi-cloud solutions, AI integration, and strong collaboration with product managers and clients. English proficiency is essential for effective cross-border work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, or similar role in a technology-driven environment.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure, multi-cloud) and cloud-native architecture.
• Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable being 80% hands-on while maintaining architectural vision.
• Strong hands-on experience with microservices architecture, containerization (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep knowledge of software development methodologies, design patterns, and architectural frameworks.
• Proficient in modern technology stacks including Node.js, Angular, React, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, JSON, and APIs.
• Advanced Level of English is a Must.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures across initiatives.
• Architect cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, and multi-cloud environments.
• Oversee integration and orchestration of AI agents and AI-driven systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and clients to define technical requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
• Conduct architectural reviews and enforce best practices in software development, security, and infra.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Advocate for security, data protection, and compliance throughout the lifecycle.
