AspenTech is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer with 5-8 years of professional software development experience to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software across desktop, web, and cloud environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding, software architecture, SDLC participation, and the use of AI-assisted tools to accelerate development while maintaining security, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficient in C# and/or C++ with OO design skills.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining production software.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software across desktop, web, and cloud environments.
• Write clean, secure, well-tested code following standards.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
• Contribute to software design and architecture, evaluating options for scalability, reliability, and security.
• Develop software applications, services, APIs, utilities, and automation using C#, C++, and scripting languages.
• Develop and maintain desktop and web applications using modern technologies.
• Develop and support applications for cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.
• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency and quality.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Integrate with Git and Perforce and implement CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes for modern deployment.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases as required.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement solutions.
• Apply Agile practices to deliver high-quality software on time.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced developers.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve productivity.
