Job summary

AspenTech in Mexico City seeks a Senior Software Developer to design and deliver industrial software for manufacturing and supply chain workflows. You will own features from design through validation and mentor teammates within an Agile team.

You will collaborate with product, architecture, and QA to ensure reliable, scalable solutions, participate in SAFe events, and contribute to CI/CD, testing, and secure design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Typically 5+ years of professional software development delivering enterprise or industrial software.
• Strong software development with C#/.NET or comparable OO languages; experience with APIs and relational databases.
• Demonstrated ability to design maintainable solutions, diagnose defects, and deliver production code.
• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, version control, and CI practices.
• Ability to translate product requirements and customer workflows into technical designs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and support robust software capabilities across the MSC product suite.
• Own the technical delivery of features, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, and production support.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to refine features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
• Work with Agile Team Leads, System Architecture, and Quality Engineering to manage dependencies and risks.
• Mentor developers and promote engineering best practices across the team.
• Develop knowledge of customer workflows and translate domain needs into technical solutions.
