Job summary

Aspen Technology in Mexico City is seeking a Senior Software Developer with 5–8 years of professional experience to design, build, test, and maintain high-quality software across desktop, web, and cloud environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage AI-assisted tools to boost coding and quality.

The ideal candidate has strong C# and/or C++ skills, cloud deployment experience (AWS/Azure), and a solid grasp of SDLC, CI/CD, and modern development practices.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong programming and coding skills; able to design, implement, test, and maintain complex software components.
• Proficiency in C# and/or C++ with OO design and patterns knowledge.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design concepts.
• Experience developing desktop and/or web applications; cloud deployment (AWS/Azure).
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and Perforce.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software across desktop, web, and cloud environments.
• Write clean, secure, well-tested code following established standards.
• Participate in all SDLC phases from requirements analysis to maintenance.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
• Develop and support APIs, services, and automation; build using Docker/Kubernetes.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve coding, debugging, testing, and documentation.
• Critically review AI-generated code to ensure correctness, security, performance, and quality.
• Implement unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure software quality.
• Integrate with Git and CI/CD pipelines; work with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Apply Agile practices to deliver high-quality software on schedule.
• Provide technical guidance and share best practices with peers.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve productivity.
