Flex seeks a Senior Process Engineer-SMT Technical Lead for its Guadalajara North Campus. The role focuses on overseeing SMT processes, improving yield, and leading a team of engineers to ensure robust, scalable manufacturing for SpinCo initiatives.

You will drive process integrity, quality, and continuous improvement across critical digital infrastructure manufacturing. The ideal candidate brings advanced SMT expertise, hands-on mastery of solder paste printing, reflow development, and strong

Formación

• Engineering degree is required with strong SMT background.
• Experience with SMT, PTH, and backend processes including SPI and edge bonding.
• Ability to collaborate with downstream assembly/test teams for process compatibility and quality.
• Develop and maintain PFMEA, control plans, work instructions, and process validations.
• Advanced expertise in SMT Process Engineering, Solder Paste Printing, and Reflow Process Development.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise SMT technical activities and coordinate the team.
• Develop and optimize programs for DEK, SPI, Camalot, and Press Fit equipment.
• Analyze and validate stencils; perform SPI debug and P&P failure analysis.
• Develop reflow profiles and instrument profiling boards.
• Create procedures, visual aids, and technical presentations.
• Perform capacity calculations, identify bottlenecks, and improve yield.
• Document and implement continuous improvement actions and Kaizen events.
• Define and manage manufacturing processes per customer specs.
• Troubleshoot PCB Assembly process issues and drive corrective actions.
• Lead design and development of tools, jigs, fixtures for production line.
• Prepare capital equipment justification and manage engineering changes.
