Job summary

Amazon in Mexico is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to lead the development, validation, and governance of the full suite of risk models for a high-growth payment product. You will shape the analytical foundation for all decisions across the product lifecycle.

You will build scorecards from external data and rules, transition to proprietary models as data matures, and manage cross-functional model programs with rigorous documentation, monitoring, and audit-ready standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years using data querying languages and statistical software.
• 4+ years of data scientist experience.
• Experience with statistical models such as multinomial logistic regression.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the model roadmap across origination, behavioral and delinquency scorecards.
• Manage full model lifecycle: development, validation, approval, implementation and monitoring.
• Lead feature engineering with external data and partner transactional data.
• Produce complete technical documentation for third-party review.
