Vertiv Group Corporation in Mexicali, MX is seeking a Quality/Process Improvement engineer to lead continuous improvement initiatives, perform FMEA/FMECA, apply SPC and 8-D problem-solving, and define acceptance criteria for manufacturing transfers. You will train personnel, document countermeasures, and report improvements to top management.

The role requires knowledge of ISO 9000 quality processes, Microsoft Office, and experience with quality tools.

Qualifications

Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) experience.
Experience with SPC and ISO 9000 quality practices.
Proficiency with 8-D problem solving.
Continuous improvement tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

Lead continuous improvement: process inspection, first past rate, start-up, nonconforming material, scrap.
Acquire information, stratify data (Pareto) and identify trends.
Replicate failure modes and define root causes.
Implement containment countermeasures and define action plans.
Document permanent countermeasures and verify effectiveness.
Define and document acceptance criteria for manufacturing operations in transfers of new products.
Collaborate with suppliers/customers on acceptance criteria.
Select criteria for each operation and train personnel accordingly.
Monitor application of criteria and report to top management.
Perform FMEA / FMECA studies and assign actions for preventive controls.
Handle CARs, apply 8-D and SPC where applicable.
Disposition non-conformance material and customer returns, conduct failure analyses.
Improve control systems.
