AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to drive quality across the SDLC and embed QA from the start. You will design and maintain automated tests across unit, API, integration, and UI layers using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, while championing a lean test pyramid and AI-assisted testing.

You will collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Architects to ensure robust quality, build scalable automation frameworks, and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines for fast feedback.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or automation.
• Proficiency with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST-assured, Postman).
• Ability to read, write, or debug test code or scripts (e.g., Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#).
• Understanding of REST APIs and service-based architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous-testing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing tools and practices.
• Upper-Intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Architects to define product quality across SDLC.
• Define and execute a product quality strategy aligned with priorities and release objectives.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests across unit, API, integration, and UI layers.
• Champion a right-sized test pyramid and balance unit, service, integration and UI tests.
• Collaborate with engineering to understand code changes and improve test coverage.
• Build scalable automation frameworks that integrate into CI/CD for rapid feedback.
• Promote shift-left quality practices through backlog refinement and design discussions.
• Leverage AI-powered tools for test generation, analysis, and coverage optimization.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through intelligent automation.
• Investigate defects with engineering and implement preventative quality improvements.
