What You Will Do

1. Define and build automation frameworks for web apps using Playwright (TypeScript).
2. Set up and extend mobile testing using Detox (and potentially Appium).
3. Design and implement API regression suites using Node.js with Jest and Supertest.
4. Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines to run post-deployment and continuously validate core services.
5. Work collaboratively with developers and product teams to align on testing needs and strategies.
6. Provide technical leadership on test structure, coverage, and automation best practices.
7. Help onboard the team to the frameworks and hand off ownership for test maintenance.

Must Haves

1. Proven 4+ years of experience working with automation testing (web, mobile, and API).
2. Strong proficiency with TypeScript and frameworks like Playwright, Detox, or Appium.
3. Experience testing REST APIs with tools like Supertest, Jest, or Postman.
4. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
5. Deep understanding of QA methodologies and Agile development workflows.
6. Availability to work mostly in LATAM time zone, with a minimum of 2-hour overlap with Colorado (MDT); more overlap is preferred.
7. Upper-Intermediate English level.

Nice to Haves

1. Experience designing automation architecture from scratch.
2. Familiarity with BDD tools like Cucumber or CodeceptJS.
3. Exposure to performance testing tools or methodologies.
4. Background in early-stage startups or fast-paced product teams.
