Yanfeng in Querétaro seeks a Quality Engineer to manage Quality Auditors, ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer requirements in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in quality management, proficiency in measurement tools, and strong computer skills.

This role includes responsibilities such as training auditors, validating quality reports, maintaining communication with clients, and coordinating audits. Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 is essential.

Formación

• 5-7 years of experience as Quality Engineer in automotive.
• Familiarity with measurement tools: Callipers, Micrometre, etc.
• Proficient in MS Office tools like Excel and PowerPoint.
• Required colour evaluation skills (Farnsworth 100 Hue).
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 standards.

Responsabilidades

Descripción del empleo

To ensure the accomplishment of Quality System in all productive areas, according to customer specific requirements accomplishment, launching and audits. Manage the Quality Auditors reporting to the position, as well as following up required training or skills increasement, and corporate and organizational objectives accomplishment. Ensure the proper follow up for all the Quality Requirements of the customers in the assigned Projects, and the Quality requirements defined as BOS/IOS.

• Management of the Quality Auditors: Schedule, Permissions, Vacation, Holidays, always ensuring not leaving unprotected the Plant’s operations as well the customer service, and payroll and assistance follow up.
• Develop soft and technical basic skills competences in the Quality Auditors (Competence Model Yanfeng), required for its positions.
• Ensure to review, validate, create, update, the CP, ODS, SPC, PPAP, GRRs, Dimensional Reports, Capabilities, PFMEA, First Part Release, MSA as needed to be accomplished, and documented and reviewed in the floor shop according to schedule, or required by customer.
• Ensure customer service and communication to avoid any customer complaint by lack of communication or quick answering for any quality issue.
• To maintain open communication with Quality Superintendent and Quality Manager related to escalation topics, customers complaints, status, projects or others.
• Develop clear and effective Quality Inspection Methods/Routes to ensure there is no risk for non-effective inspection due to unclear criteria, or inspection method or inefficient tools used.
• Coordinate and ensure the proper 8D answering on time related to Formal and unformal 3CPR, MQR, CS1/2, customer complaints, internal complaints, implementing effective corrective actions, and lessons learned to prevent reoccurrences.
• Responsible for any Containment, Rework process, non-conformance material disposition, or quality issue inside and outside the plant.
• Follow up launching stages for new projects, for all items related to quality, verifying that Advance Quality Team delivers and covers all requirements before final release of the project.
• Ensure Quality Auditors are trained in all criteria, inspection methods, and documentation related to assigned projects.
• Ensure the follow up and accomplishment on time for Product Audits, Annual Revalidation, according to schedule plan.
• Ensure and follow up for the use of PQMS related to Quality Complaints, and 8D scoring format and Customer Portal as well.
• Follow up the corrective actions closing time derived from customer or 3rd party Audits.
• Supporting Quality Auditors, Inspectors when there are doubts about any criteria definition, to release or stopping the lines.
• Leading the Quality portion in the HPTs related to assigned projects.
• Ensure that all Quality Auditors have the proper tools as computer equipment (for recording, accessing information), radios or cell phone (depending on availability), printers, paper, pens, measuring tooling’s, to accomplish the daily follow up on activities and objectives.
• Quality Auditor Performance evaluation through One on One, Quarter Evaluations, to confirm performance and development objectives accomplishment in the department.
• Follow Up for required assistance of the Quality Engineer meeting, when is required, as HPT Meeting, Quality Teams Meetings, Customer Meeting, or others important to assist.
• Ensuring on time assistance and support to HPT Meetings and activities, Quick Response, Fast Response, or others.
• Responsible for Internal/External Audits regarding project assigned on Quality Requirements
• Responsible to maintain and improve(if needed) customer scorecard Result in order to be in A, Green, 100% Level

Requirements

• 5-7 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry, preferred as Quality Engineer.
• Experience working with Measurement Equipment as Callipers, Vernier, Micrometre, Pin Gages, etc.
• Computer Knowledge to use MS Office Tools, as excel, power point, access, etc.
• Colour Evaluation Farnsworth 100 Hue Required as Acceptable.
• Knowledge on IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, Core tools, Customer Service and CSR.
• 8Ds and analysis tools (5Whys, Ishikawa, FTA).
