Job summary

GlobalLogic Inc. in Mexico is seeking a Senior QA Engineer (UI and API Automation) to ensure quality across a cloud-native SaaS platform hosted on AWS.

You will perform hybrid QA, combining manual exploratory testing, API validation, and Playwright-based automation to expand coverage while supporting multi-environment releases. The ideal candidate has strong REST API testing experience, SaaS knowledge, and hands-on skills with Playwright, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, Jira, and CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 5+ years of QA engineering experience, preferably with SaaS platforms and REST APIs.
• Strong hands-on testing REST APIs, backend services, and microservices.
• Hands-on automation with Playwright for UI and API validation.
• Experience in hybrid QA approaches: manual, exploratory, regression, and automation.
• Experience with Jira and Zephyr for test cases and defects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test strategies for REST APIs, backend services, and UI workflows.
• Build and maintain automated tests with Playwright for UI and API validation.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across environments.
• Validate release readiness and support CI/CD pipelines with automated validation.
• Analyze logs and API responses to troubleshoot and improve test coverage.
