Job summary

Farmers Insurance Mexico is seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to establish comprehensive testing strategies across enterprise applications, APIs, and data platforms. You will lead quality assurance efforts, drive automation with Selenium and Playwright, and ensure traceability from requirements to test results in a fast-paced agile environment.

The role requires strong experience in API testing, BDD, SQL data validation, and cloud-based testing (AWS), with excellent English communication

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and executing test strategies across quality dimensions.
• Hands-on with test automation frameworks Selenium and Playwright.
• Experience with BDD using Cucumber, SpecFlow, or similar.
• API testing and automation using Postman, SoapUI, Swagger; MuleSoft familiarity preferred.
• SQL queries, database testing and data validation.
• Cloud-based applications testing, preferably AWS, and GitHub workflows.
• Familiarity with Jira or Rally and test management tools.
• Fluent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and maintain enterprise QA strategies and test plans.
• Drive testing strategy, planning, and execution across the SDLC.
• Develop risk-based testing approaches prioritizing critical functionality.
• Lead quality planning across multiple initiatives and releases.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated testing solutions.
• Execute functional, integration, API, E2E, UAT testing and release support.
• Provide traceability from requirements to test results and metrics.
• Collaborate with Product, Business, Vendor, and Engineering teams.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and report defect trends.
