EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Lead Python Developer with AWS expertise to spearhead Treasury technology initiatives. You will lead backend engineering efforts, define scalable microservices architectures, and drive the integration of diverse data sources into unified data models.

You will collaborate with global teams, mentor engineers, own architectural decisions, and shape the technical direction of high-stakes financial applications in an Agile environment.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional Python development experience.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Strong backend experience with FastAPI, Django, Flask.
• Microservices, API gateways, and inter-service communication knowledge.
• Data integration from multiple formats into a common model.
• Shell scripting and OS-level automation expertise.
• Strong unit testing and test automation practices.
• Experience with AWS and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and drive architecture decisions.
• Excellent English communication skills (B2+).

Responsabilidades

• Define and own microservices architectures, API gateways, and inter-service communication.
• Lead backend development using Python and modern frameworks.
• Architect data integration across sources (xlsx, pdf, csv, json) into a common model.
• Set standards for REST APIs with focus on performance and scalability.
• Mentor engineers and guide career development within the team.
• Drive automation strategies and OS-level task automation.
• Troubleshoot complex systems and perform root-cause analysis.
• Promote robust test coverage and automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with global teams in an Agile environment and participate in cross-functional discussions.
• Lead code reviews and maintain engineering quality standards.
