EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Lead Python Web Engineer to design, build and evolve secure financial services and APIs. You will guide system design, quality practices, and collaboration across distributed teams.

You will develop Python web services with Flask and FastAPI, model data in PostgreSQL, and operate AWS services. The role emphasizes leadership, architecture, testing, and cross-time-zone coordination to deliver reliable client outcomes.

Formación

• 5+ years of Python web development with Flask and FastAPI.
• 5+ years of cloud engineering with AWS.
• Leadership experience guiding architecture and code quality in distributed teams.
• Strong system design across microservices and API design.
• Strong test automation incl. unit and integration testing.
• Proficient in PostgreSQL data modeling and performance tuning.

Responsabilidades

• Design resilient, compliant, and auditable service architectures for financial platforms.
• Lead refactoring and redesign initiatives on critical systems to improve reliability and maintainability.
• Build Python web services and APIs using Flask and FastAPI.
• Define database models and data access patterns using PostgreSQL.
• Implement robust automated tests and coordinate manual integration testing where needed.
• Operate and troubleshoot services using AWS capabilities such as S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
• Enforce code review standards and mentor peers through feedback and shared learning.
• Collaborate with agile teams to plan, estimate, and deliver high-impact features.
• Coordinate work across global teams to align technical decisions and delivery timelines.
