EXL is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and operate robust backend services in Python. You will work with AI tools like Claude and Copilot to enhance productivity while ensuring security and quality.

The role is hybrid with 3 days in office in Mexico City (Azcapotzalco) or Toluca, and requires 5+ years of backend experience. You will collaborate across QA, DevOps, Architecture, Security, and Data teams to deliver scalable solutions, maintain APIs, and improve performance and

Formación

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL.
• Git workflows and versioning practices.
• Strong testing and CI/CD fundamentals.
• English at professional level or higher (B2/C1).
• Practical use of Claude or Copilot for coding, refactoring, debugging, and test generation.
• Ability to write high-quality prompts for technical tasks.
• Awareness of data security and IP/confidentiality when using AI tools.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs.
