Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking engineers to advance Python-based AI products by building scalable, secure agentic systems. You will implement multi-agent orchestration with LangChain and LangGraph, develop RAG pipelines, and integrate MCP while leveraging AWS Bedrock and GCP Vertex AI.

The role involves architecting scalable data-driven applications, collaborating with multinational teams, and coaching peers to deliver high-quality code across the full SDLC.

We are advancing Python-based AI products by engineering secure, observable, and scalable agentic systems that solve real business problems. You will implement multi-agent orchestration with tools like LangChain and LangGraph, build RAG pipelines, and integrate MCP while leveraging AWS Bedrock and GCP Vertex AI.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver scalable systems that enable data-driven intelligent applications
• Convert sophisticated technical ideas into working implementations that match organizational objectives
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to clarify technical needs and achieve strong delivery outcomes
• Develop readable, maintainable code that follows industry conventions and is properly documented
• Diagnose and address technical problems throughout the full software development lifecycle
• Conduct peer code reviews and offer clear, actionable suggestions to improve quality
• Explore new technology trends and propose upgrades to current infrastructure
• Contribute to architectural planning that influences the future technical roadmap
• Coach less experienced engineers and spread technical expertise across the team
• Validate that solutions meet scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability expectations

Requirements

• Hands-on experience of 3+ years in Python engineering, with evidence of creating, deploying, and operating reliable AI systems and smart applications in production environments
• Advanced know-how in building stateful multi-agent processes, autonomous agentic systems, and cross-agent orchestration using LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Google ADK, and AWS Strands Agents SDK
• Real-world exposure to Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration efforts
• Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline solutions
• Strong command of prompt engineering to optimize communication with language models
• Experience implementing guardrails that enforce safe and controlled AI behavior
• Knowledge of knowledge graphs and their application in AI solution design
• Experience integrating foundation models via cloud services including AWS Bedrock and GCP Vertex AI
• Capability to uphold evaluation discipline, observability practices, and security safeguards in production AI systems
• Effective communication skills plus functional English fluency (B2 level or above) to understand business needs and translate them into agentic architecture designs
