Overview

Title: Senior Performance Tester

Location: 100% Remote (Mexico)

Job Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• Prepare test plan documents comprising scope, objective, approach, assumptions, dependencies, risks and mitigation.


• Monitor application during test execution using tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk, etc. Identify performance issues, log defects identified during test execution and participate in defect triage calls.


• Analyze and prepare preliminary performance test and summary reports comprising response time metrics, throughput, errors and other server side metrics.


• Conduct performance testing and analysis of applications using JMeter and other relevant tools.


• Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify performance issues and recommend improvements.


• Perform production workload analysis to understand and replicate real-world usage patterns.


• Design and execute tests that simulate various user loads, response times, and workloads.


• Analyze test results and provide recommendations for performance enhancements.


• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in production environments.


• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in performance engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.


• 2+ years of experience in performance testing with 8-10 years of overall testing experience.


• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or NeoLoad.


• Strong analytical skills.


• Good communication, articulation and presentation skills.
