EPAM Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to define and implement performance strategies for applications and supporting services.

You will translate NFRs into measurable criteria, design load tests, and analyze end-to-end performance across stacks to ensure production targets are met. Collaboration with DevSecOps, architecture, and product teams is essential, with a focus on scalable, reliable systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of performance testing/engineering on production web apps and distributed systems.
• Hands-on with load, stress, spike, endurance and capacity testing tools.
• Experience shaping performance requirements and acceptance criteria from NFRs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated performance testing.

Responsabilités

• Define the overall performance testing and performance engineering strategy based on architecture and NFRs.
• Translate NFRs into measurable performance criteria, scenarios, workloads and thresholds.
• Design and execute load, stress, spike, endurance and scalability tests across apps, APIs and services.
• Develop and maintain automated performance test scripts and reusable frameworks.
• Test HTTP/REST, gRPC APIs and services; model production-like workloads.
• Analyze performance across frontend, APIs, databases, caching, infra and dependencies.
• Identify bottlenecks and perform root-cause analysis with observability data.
• Integrate performance tests into CI/CD to detect regressions early.
