Cummins Inc. is seeking a Sr. Payroll Tax Analyst to join the Payroll team within HR Operations at Cummins Comercializadora in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. The role supports end-to-end US/Canada tax withholdings, audits, and year-end processes in a hybrid work environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of payroll tax experience, strong knowledge of US/Canada regulations, and proficiency with SAP/ADP SmartCompliance. Advanced English is required for effective collaboration across regions.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of payroll tax experience in a large multi-entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of US and/or Canadian payroll tax regulations.
• Experience with HRIS/Payroll systems (SAP) and third-party tax apps (ADP SmartCompliance).
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal, multi-state, provincial and local wage and tax regs.
• Knowledge of fringe benefits taxation and equity incentives (RSUs, NQ Stock Options).
• High accuracy and attention to detail with integrity and discretion.
• Ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Advanced analytical skills including Excel V-Lookup and Pivot Tables.
• Ability to handle confidential information without breach of confidentiality.
• Advanced English level required.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee end-to-end US/CA tax withholdings, deposits, and employment tax return filings across multiple jurisdictions.
• Resolve tax notices, audits, and discrepancies with IRS, state, and local authorities.
• Audit employee tax setups, configurations, and payroll data.
• Reconcile gross payroll, tax deductions, and GL accounts.
• Manage tax updates, SUI rates, and tax jurisdictions in payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Oversee annual year-end processes, including adjustments and W-2/W-2c remediation.
• Escalate Answers queries and explain tax withholding adjustments affecting net pay.
• Collaborate with payroll team on complex tax setups (expats, stock, jurisdiction splits).
