Bluelight Consulting, Llc is seeking a Senior Full Stack and Backend NodeJS TypeScript/JavaScript Engineer for a remote role in Latin America. You will design, develop, and optimize backend services, with emphasis on scalable RESTful APIs, secure multi-tenant environments, and strong testing practices across real databases.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of backend-focused experience, proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused)
• Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations
• Professional experience with React
• Strong testing practices including integration tests against real databases and fault-injection testing
• Experience working with AI coding assistants as part of daily development
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills
• Solid understanding of full stack development with frontend contribution
• Substantial background with large, complex systems
• Ability to overlap US business hours
• Bachelor's degree required

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services using Node.js/TypeScript and RESTful APIs

• Integrate SDKs and external services into applications
