Bluelight Consulting is a leading software consultancy seeking a senior backend-focused engineer. You will design and build low-latency API services in AWS, work with PostgreSQL, and contribute to full-stack tasks when needed.

The role emphasizes ownership, high-quality code, and collaboration across US and Latin American teams. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in backend development, strong Node.js/TypeScript/JavaScript skills, and experience with secure multi-tenant architectures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, incl. Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing migrations.
• Professional experience with React.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate on frontend tasks when needed within a full-stack capacity.
• Ensure security, performance, and reliability of multi-tenant apps.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and maintain infrastructure on AWS.
• Work with data modeling, SQL, and schema migrations.
