Bluelight is seeking a senior backend-focused software engineer to join our rapidly growing team. You will contribute to designing and building high-quality applications, APIs, and services in a fast-paced environment, while prioritizing security, performance and scalability.

The role emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and delivering impactful solutions for clients across the US and LATAM. Remote-friendly with flexible hours and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional software development experience (backend-focused)
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB including Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (node-postgres, node-pg-migrate)
• Professional experience with React
• Strong testing practices including integration tests against real databases and failure-mode testing
• Experience with AI coding assistants as part of daily development
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance
• Solid understanding of full stack development with ability to contribute to frontend when needed
• Background with large, complex systems
• Ability to overlap US business hours
• Bachelor's degree required
