Bluelight is a leading software consultancy seeking a backend-focused software engineer to design and develop high-quality applications. You will work with Node.js, TypeScript and React on scalable RESTful services hosted in AWS, emphasizing low latency and secure multi-tenant architectures.

The role requires 5+ years of backend experience, strong SQL skills, and a collaborative mindset. Flexible hours and remote work are offered, with opportunities for continued education and certifications.

Formación

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (e.g., node-postgres, node-pg-migrate).
• Professional experience with React.
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases and failure-mode/fault-injection testing.
• Experience working with AI coding assistants as part of daily development.
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills.
• Solid understanding of full stack development, with the ability to contribute to frontend work when needed.
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.
